Government of India has established the Employment Division along with training division to cater the needs of industries to supply skilled manpower. In this regard all the State Government has employment & training departments under which employment exchange offices are operating from District Head Quarters.

Due to the rapid change in the technological advancement and paradigm shift for the demand and supply of skilled manpower in Government & Private sectors, necessary steps has been initiated by both Central & State Governments.

As for as Employment Exchanges are concerned, there is a dire need to re-orient, revamp and restructure the existing employment exchange to make it more relevant and productive. In this regard, Government of Karnataka has taken lead in establishing a modernized HRD Centers having all the facilities like online registration, counseling, assessment and evaluation and placement to suit the present requirement of industries.

The first of its kind HRD Center is being established in PPP mode at Mangalore. This Center will be inaugurated bu Honourable Labour Minister Shri. B N Bacche Gowda on 28th October 2009.

The infrastructure, facilities and necessary equipments and softwares are provided by KVTSDC and the service, assessment and placement solutions shall be provided by Team Lease Staffing Solutions, which is a reputed firm in Staffing Solutions.
