Federations of Human Rights Organisations - Dakshina Kannada & Udupi Districts is organizing a Massive Rally & Public Meet to condemn the growing Communal Attacks in the State on Friday, 10th February 2012 at 3.00PM. Public meeting will be held in front of DC Office at 4.00PM.

• ‘COMMUNAL VIOLENCE (PREVENTION, CONTROL and REHABILITATION) BILL- WHY IT IS A MUST?’ (in Kannada) – Published by Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike and authored by M/s G. Rajshekar, Shivasunder and Fakir Mohammed Katpady
• ‘SAFFRON TERRORISM’ (in Kannada) – Authored by Suresh Bhat Bakrabail

We Call Upon the Enlightened Citizens of the Twin Districts to
• Oppose the terror unleashed by communal forces.
• Insist on the Authorities to maintain an atmosphere of peace and tolerance.
• Insist for restoration of communal harmony which is worsening by the day.
• Demand immediate implementation of Prime Minister’s 15-point programme.
• Demand suspension of communalized law-enforcement officers.
• Demand appointment of able, impartial, secular officers in their place.
• Demand from the Central Government immediate implementation of the ‘Communal Violence (Prevention, Control and Rehabilitation) Bill (with some necessary amendments). |
